About Me

Hi!

I'm Sarah.

I'm married and we have four children.

My favorite quote of all time is "Holding a grudge is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die."

I believe in equality for women, but not to the point that I want to pull men down and use them as step stools for my success.

I love technology. For a while in college, I was a computer engineering major. Why did I stop? Calculus.

I also love people, which is why I changed my major to psychology. I graduated with emphases in Clinical and Developmental Psychology. That means that my studies focused on mental health in children, teens, and adults as well as the specifics of human development (mentally and physically) in children and teens.

I'm a Christian. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That means that I'm what most people know as a Mormon.

I'm much more practical than emotional.

I can't stand watching sports unless someone I know personally is playing. I get bored. I prefer to play instead.

I have a class B CDL (commercial driver license). That basically means that I can drive anything with four wheels or more that's not a semi.

I am left-handed.

I am of German decent on my dad's side of the family. I'm very proud of that and German culture is a huge part of who I am.

I believe that advice should only be given in two situations: When it's asked for and when the situation is life-threatening.

I play the piano and the violin.

I love Pooh Bear. No one dis the Pooh Bear.

I speak Portuguese. I lived in Manaus, Brazil, for 1.5 years.

I don't speak German as well as Portuguese, but if I needed to get around in Germany, I'd be just fine.

I like love cheese. And squash. And bacon. And anything having to do with bananas and coconuts.

I love ice cream, too. There was a time in college in which I ate 4.5 quarts of ice cream in 5 days. (I danced 21 hrs/week back then...I could get away with it.) I. Love. Ice cream.

On that note, I love ballroom dance.

My favorite book is The Picture of Dorian Gray. Other than the Holy Scriptures, it's the only book I've read more than once.
